I have a pretty limited budget because I am from a small team. If you can only go to 2-3 tournaments out of state, what is the best way to choose tournaments? There are no "no-brainer" tournaments for me, as I am in a pretty weak region for debate (Virginia). Should I try to go to semis/finals bids to get a better shot at an easy bid or should I try to go to larger tournaments (like Emory and Bronx) to get more experience against good competition?
