"The Wire" Appreciation Thread

There has to be at least a few fans of the wire in this forum. For those who have not seen the show, its incredible with unmatched character development, dialog, and writing. The show covers a lot in its five seasons: drug trade, racial theory, role of the state, human trafficking, Marxist theory/Proletariat revolution, corruption in politics, the flawed education system, the indiscriminance of violence, the problems with the media, legalization of drugs, captialism, gender theory, you name it, its probably addressed on the show.

I know at least the Scarsdale guys like the show (according to the case wiki), does anyone else?

I have never heard of the Wire. Which channel carries the series? On a related note, what makes you think that Scarsdale's cases reflect their appreciation of the show?
